As of December 4, 2023, the newest Carnival cruise ship is the Carnival Jubilee. The second ship in the Excel-class and fully powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) at 183,521 gross tons, the new vessel is operating from Port Canaveral, Florida, from December 23, 2023. Tropical was the first new cruise ship built for Carnival Cruise Line in 1982. The new Holiday-class vessel also built for the cruise line helped grow the Fun ship fleet with Holiday arriving in 1985, Jubilee in 1986, and Celebration in 1987. Carnival Cruise Line goes beyond the older Fantasy-class vessels such as the Holiday-class.

The suggested attire for women on such nights is cocktail dresses, pantsuits, elegant skirts and blouses. During the evenings, there is an official dress code, but it's pretty laid-back. The very first was Mardi Gras which we already mentioned further up, and began sailing for the cruise line in 1972. Carnival Breeze is 130,000 gross tons, which is just slightly smaller than the newer Vista-class vessels. The ship also has a guest capacity of 3,690 at double occupancy, along with 1,386 crew members.
The line has formal children's programming and activities for children as young as 2 years old through the age of 17. Carnival Panorama also houses Carnival's first cooking classroom. On one of Carnival's newest ships, Carnival Panorama, there's no RedFrog Pub, but the Smokehouse Brewhouse has a stage that's home to live music nightly and some of the ship's karaoke sessions.

Each of the vessels in Carnival's recent Vista Class series, for instance, offers fewer than 75 suites. Each of the line's earlier Conquest Class ships has around 50 suites. The oldest Fantasy Class vessels have 28 suites and 26 junior suites. The arrival of Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration over the past two years has marked a major turning point for the line. At around 180,000 tons, they rank at No. 15 and No. 13, respectively, among the world's largest cruise ships — the only Carnival ships to crack the Top 20. One more ship in the series — Carnival Jubilee — will arrive in December 2023.
